As a young man, he worked actively for the Blackstone foundation, seeking to reintroduce Islam to the African Diaspora, and to revive the Sunnah of Islamic Muamalat.

After having learnt under Shaykh Abdulqadir Asi-Sufi for many years, he comprised the core founding members of the World Murabitun Movement, who today are at the forefront of the movement for restoration of Sunnah Currency, the gold dinar.

He is now actively working to introduce the Gold Dinar in the Americas, while his other compatriots are working in different regions, including Umar Ibrahim Vadillo, Hajj Amal Douglous and Abdasssamad Clarke in the Far East and Europe.

Amir Ismail Bryant is the leader of the North Carolina Muslim Community, organized around the Blackstone foundation.
